• This year Mark and I have made a Tree Change to Bendigo, my birthplace. We’ve gained a permit to own four cats, all indoor dwelling, except for outdoor enclosures attached to windows through cat-flaps. The playground includes vertical towers, tunnels adjoining walls, and long catwalks that fly over orchards. We have named our place Fairy Lion Park.

• Work continues with the Australian Fairy Tale Society as we are collecting, selecting and editing a compendium of intercultural contemporary fairy tales set in Australia. There’s considerable research involved as well as consultation with various communities.
