Stakes are high, as eco-catastrophe looms. Teucer the elf and Navington the gnome join a procession with enchantress Escalder the Green Lady, her bardic lover Kloh and astrologer Anstarberous. King Snork investigates the Green Vortex, an orb terrorising the realm. Teucer is separated from Navington and falls in with rebels plotting revolution.

Meanwhile, goblin Varn guides the humans to the Moss Farm he shares with Teucer and Navington. Elves claim Bree as a reincarnation of their queen. Escalder preys on their pride. At the Feast of Folklore she presents Bree in costume as the ancient elf queen, coaxing Kloh to murder her. He hypnotises Bree, but spares her life. Revolutionaries assassinate King Tobiar Snork. Butler Pitchet gives Tobiar’s Teardrop in a snuffbox to Bree, who flees on a unicorn, archers in pursuit. Experience spooky dungeons, moss farming and carnivals. Encounter organ-harvesting orcs and Singing Fountains. Fly with elderdragons and pegasi. None can resist the Old Magic that is on the move.

Three genders abide in Elderbrook: female, male and lemale. Readers can experience suspense, sorrow and delight. All volumes are complete with mythology, politics, romance, combat, riddles, artefacts, guides, a bestiary of beasts and ballads.
