This waterwitch has turned up in Louisa’s music, illustration and writing since her teens, from Phantosea exhibitions to the medieval village of Clisson, France. Rachael Hammond dances her role in this video. Louisa makes only a cameo appearance with Melissa Rose Tonkin and Zeinab Yazdanfar, filmed by videographer Ian Clarke. Escalder’s name evokes the witch’s tempestuous nature, from scalding heat to chilling cold.
